Fabulous Fabsters is pleased to announce our first Face 2 Face Fabsters — #f2fab* event of 2018 — a workshop on "How to Commission Bespoke Jewellery" with Fabster and London-based jeweller Sian Evans in her Clerkenwell studio.

Do you have any family jewels that are broken or in a style not to your taste? Have you been thinking about having them remade into meaningful pieces that work with your lifestyle now but weren't sure how to begin? Or maybe you have some ideas about creating a new piece altogether? With over thirty years experience as a jewellery designer and lecturer at Central St. Martin, Sian has helped many clients, including Fabulous Fabsters founder Christine Chang Hanway, rework their existing pieces into favourite heirlooms for today. She recognises that commissioning bespoke jewellery can be a daunting journey into the unknown and this workshop is designed as an introduction into that process and what to expect once you have taken the leap!

We will meet at 6:45 pm for a 7:00 pm start. The workshop will include a tour of Sian's studio, a short presentation by Sian on commissiong bespoke jewellery and an interactive discussion period where participants will be able to ask Sian questions about potential commissions they have in mind to hear her initial thoughts. The workshop is intentionally small and limited to 6 people so that we can invite participants to bring their existing pieces and ideas for discussion.

*Face to Face Fabsters — #f2fab — has been conceived to enable Fabsters to meet each other while raising money for charity. Sian will donate the proceeds from this event to Smallwood Trust, a charity which helps women to overcome financial difficulties and improve their social and emotional well-being. The charity's mission is to enable women on low incomes to be financially resilient.
